A breast oncoplastic surgeon combines cancer surgery with plastic and reconstructive techniques, so that breast cancer can be treated while preserving or restoring a natural shape. Miss Alshurbasi also performs cosmetic breast surgery.
Her services include breast uplift, reduction, correction of asymmetry and implant removal, alongside breast cancer surgery, reconstruction, and diagnostic assessment such as biopsy and sentinel lymph node testing.
A lumpectomy removes the cancer and a margin of surrounding tissue while conserving most of the breast. A mastectomy removes the whole breast. Miss Alshurbasi will explain which option is most appropriate for your diagnosis.
Recovery depends on the procedure. Many patients return to light activity within one to two weeks and resume more strenuous activity over several weeks. You will be given clear aftercare guidance and follow-up.
Yes. Breast cancer can affect men, and Miss Alshurbasi provides diagnosis and surgical treatment of male breast cancer with the same specialist care.
